| 1 pound White Chocolate
4 cups broken pretzels
1 1/2 cups salted peanuts
A few drops green Candy Color (This is available at restaurant supply stores and some craft stores. Do not use liquid coloring as any liquid added to white chocolate will make it "seize" which means it will be ruined.) If you want to, you can also use powdered coloring, but it doesn't color the chocolate as well. |

| 1. Put the white chocolate in a 4 cup
glass measuring cup and microwave for 1 minute.
2. Stir until the white chocolate is melted. If you are using white chocolate chips, this should be enough time. If you are using real white chocolate, you may have to put it back in the microwave. | 3. If it isn't quite melted,
4. Put it back in the microwave for 30
seconds--No more or it will burn. Then stir until melted.

| 5. Sometimes it's fun to have a little taste of
the chocolate!
6. Put a few drops of the green candy coloring and stir until it is smooth and all the chocolate is light green., | 7. Pour the pretzels
and peanuts into a large plastic
or glass bowl
8. Mix them well in the bowl.

| 9. Scrape the melted
white chocolate into the pretzel mixture.
10. Mix the chocolate
with the pretzels thoroughly.
11. Scoop the mixture
onto the parchment-lined cookie sheets. If the chocolate starts to
harden before you get all the nests scooped out, you can put the whole
bowl in the microwave for 30 seconds, then stir and it will be good for
scooping again.
12. Decorate with the jelly beans,
chocolate eggs, and bunnies and chicks. Press them into the white
chocolate so that they stick. Let sit at room
temperature until the chocolate hardens. If you are in a hurry,
you can put them in the fridge for a while.
| 12. Put the finished
nests in a basket and have your Mom take your picture!
13. You can use the basket full of nests for the centerpiece at your Easter dinner, unless, of course, you eat them all first! |
